Prospecting in Santa Criz de Eslava (1994)

1994

In 1994, Pilar Sáez de Albéniz, Rosa Armendáriz, and Txaro Mateo carried out the systematic prospecting that covered part of the municipal area of Eslava (excluding the reforestation forest areas north and south of the town), which served to lay the foundations for the historical context of the enclave in its immediate environment and yielded a total of 79 sites dated in the broad chronological range from the Paleolithic to the Modern Age. Funerary remains were also documented at the foot of Cerro de Santa Criz.
